Who We Are
The Francis Street Family Practice is a medical services provider established in February 2019, specialising in all facets of general practice - family medicine, paediatrics, skin cancer treatment, workers compensation, and minor trauma, such as lacerations and some fractures. The practice offers DVA, pre - employment medicals, preventative health, immunisation and general nursing services. We also currently accommodate Penrith Head to Health psychological services until they find permanent facilities for their Hawkesbury Division. In addition, Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Michael Stening consults out of the Practice once a month. Other services provided are travel medicine, EPC/Care Plans and Mental Health Care Plans. There is a pathology service and collection centre also available on site.
More recently the Practice is a fully registered COVID - 19 vaccination provider and offers up to date COVID - 19 medical advice and is COVID - 19 compliant in line with the recent pandemic and associated regulations.
The practice is a private billing practice, however bulk billing is available where appropriate. Please telephone reception for further details regarding our billing policy.
It is expected that limited anti wrinkle treatment will be available at a later date, as well as a second General Practitioner sometime in the near future.
Led by vastly experienced principal doctor, Dr Philip Chen, the team at Francis St Family Practice is patient focused , and puts your medical needs first and foremost.
The practice is purpose built to offer a warm, welcoming, friendly, “non clinical” environment, to make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door, and when you most require it .
Dr Chen and his team aim to provide first class medical care at all times, in a holistic and caring manner and endeavour to provide you with the time necessary to unravel your issues. Whilst the practice strives to run to appointment times, there will be times when emergencies occur or patients may run over time due to the complex nature of their medical issues. We thank all our patients for their understanding and tolerance when this occurs, and their feedback tells us they appreciate it when they are in that position themselves when they need and are given that extra bit of time.
